Are we really in some kind of spiritual warfare?
Paul tells us in Ephesians 6:12 that “our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” What is he talking about, and what else does the Bible reveal about our role and God’s role in the struggle against the world, the flesh, and the devil?
When we engage in the work of kingdom advancement for the glory of Jesus Christ, we are in direct conflict with the work and agenda of the kingdom of Satan. Subsequently, we will inevitably come across spiritual opposition, whether subtle or direct. If we are to see the “captives set free,” if we are to remain obedient to the work of Christ, and if we are to have a deeper and more faithful walk with our Lord and Savior, then we must know how to rely on his authority and power when confronted with the reality of evil.
Based on the fifth Dunamis Project addresses the reality of the demonic realm, personal deliverance ministry, the discernment process, the importance and effectiveness of the armor of God as outlined in Ephesians 6, spiritual warfare, and kingdom advancement.
Please consider joining us to learn more about this important topic so that you can be effectively equipped to come against the schemes of the evil one on both a personal and corporate level.
If you are moving in the gifts of the Holy Spirit and seeking to advance the kingdom of God then you will inevitably come across spiritual opposition, whether it is subtle or direct. This course will give systematic teaching and experience of what that is and how to deal with it.
The Dunamis Project is the central training of PRMI to help you cooperate with the Holy Spirit in whatever ministry you may have, in whatever part of the world you may live. The Dunamis Project is a series of six conferences (four or five days each) over three years where you will discover and learn how to use your spiritual gifts in whatever ministry you have.
With The Dunamis Project, you discover:
February 24-27, 2021
The event will be a hybrid event; Live (with social distancing) and Zoom.
The event runs Feb. 24-27th. We will meet Wed-Fri evening (6:00-9:00pm) and will conclude on Saturday (9:00-12:00pm) Eastern US Time
This is a hybrid event.
PRMI has found that when online events have zero registration fees, there is a high no-show rate. Automated bots fill out forms creating spam registrations from around the world.
As some of our multi-day events require materials, prayer coverage, and small group planning, a small on-line registration fee will help PRMI manage the resources to support the meeting and keep unnecessary registrations from clogging the system.
As is true of all of PRMI events and consistent with the Faith Basis, this fee is not the event offering. All of our events are offered on a faith basis. You’ll have the opportunity to advance the work of PRMI through your offering.
If you request a physical manual to be sent to you, efforts will be made to get it to you on time, but delivery is dependent on US Postal Service.
If the online registration fee is a financial barrier, please contact the event registrar for options.
Since our events focus on spiritual formation and discipleship, one segment of our events leads into the next. Thus we encourage you to be fully present for the entire event, as much as you are able.
Rev. Dr. James Kearny is a Presbyterian Pastor ministering in Seattle’s urban core. He became involved in PRMI over a decade ago as he searched for more effective tools for bringing the kingdom.
He taught and practiced the principles of Dunamis in his congregation as well as teaching around the US. James serves a group to promote Dunamis in the Pacific NW and serves as the Developer of Congregational Dunamis.
He brings stories of introducing a fuller understanding and practice of the person and work of the Holy Spirit in a PC(USA) congregation.
Rev. Janet Hufford is a pastor in Central Ohio. Her passion is glorifying Christ through equipping church leaders, who seek Spirit-led transformation. She has plenty of PRMI teaching experience in Iowa, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Europe, and North Carolina.
Her doctoral thesis offers a systematic study from Scripture on the fruit of the Spirit to partner with Dunamis teaching. Janet’s first word was “up.”
To be announced.
The event registrar for here is Cassie LaBo. She would be happy to answer specific questions that you may have about this event prior to registration. Please call her at 313-408-1328 during reasonable times for questions.
