DP 5 Spiritual Warfare -- Milford IA
Are we really in some kind of spiritual warfare?
Paul tells us in Ephesians 6:12 that “our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” What is he talking about, and what else does the Bible reveal about our role and God's role in the struggle against the world, the flesh and the devil?
When we engage in the work of kingdom advancement for the glory of Jesus Christ, we are in direct conflict with the work and agenda of the kingdom of Satan. Subsequently, we will inevitably come across spiritual opposition, whether subtle or direct. If we are to see the “captives set free,” if we are to remain obedient to the work of Christ, and if we are to have a deeper and more faithful walk with our Lord and Savior, then we must know how to rely on his authority and power when confronted with the reality of evil.
This fifth Dunamis Project addresses the reality of the demonic realm, personal deliverance ministry, the discernment process, the importance and effectiveness of the armor of God as outlined in Ephesians 6, spiritual warfare, and kingdom advancement.
Some of the topics covered include:
- Introduction to Spiritual Warfare
- The Believer's Preparation for Spiritual Warfare
- Personal Spiritual Warfare: The Battle Without
- Personal Spiritual Warfare: The Battle Within
- Kingdom Advance, Setting Captives Free, Understanding the Role of Spiritual Warfare
Please consider joining us to learn more about this important topic so that you can be effectively equipped to come against the schemes of the evil one on both a personal and corporate level.
If you are moving in the gifts of the Holy Spirit and seeking to advance the kingdom of God then you will inevitably come across spiritual opposition, whether it is subtle or direct. This course will give systematic teaching and experience of what that is and how to deal with it.
What is The Dunamis Project?
The Dunamis Project is the central training of PRMI to help you cooperate with the Holy Spirit in whatever ministry you may have, in whatever part of the world you may live. The Dunamis Project is a series of six conferences (four or five days each) over three years where you will discover and learn how to use your spiritual gifts in whatever ministry you have.
With The Dunamis Project, you discover:
- Solid biblical teaching about the person and work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer.
- Teaching forged from the Scriptures, proven in ministry, and informed by 200 years of renewal and revival movements.
- Spiritual gifts and how to use them effectively in the Kingdom of God.
- How to recognize God’s guidance for ministry in a given moment through the experience-based lab times and review debriefings.

Pray about how to participate long before you arrive.
Plan to Be Fully Present:
Since our events focus on spiritual formation and discipleship, one segment of our events leads into the next. Thus we encourage you to be fully present for the entire event, as much as you are able.
Jeanne Kraak has taught for PRMI all over the world since 1998. As Director for Ignite, she has a passion to see lay people empowered by the Holy Spirit and wants congregations to discover the joy of walking in dynamic cooperation with the Holy Spirit.
Rev. Martin Boardman
Rev. Martin Boardman is an ordained minister of Word and Sacrament in the Christian Reformed Church and pastored in Southern Alberta before the Lord opened the door to become Dunamis Fellowship Canada’s Prayer Mobilizer working closely with PRMI in January 2017.
Dunamis answered the questions that he had about the Holy Spirit. It explained some of his life experiences in a systematic and Biblical way and opened the door to drawing closer in intimacy with the Lord. He is still putting in to practice some of the suggestions which were shared during that time.
As a result of his involvement in those Dunamis Weekends Martin became more involved with the work of PRMI and was a part of the founding board for Dunamis Fellowship Canada.
Rev. David VanderLeest
Rev. David VanderLeest is a retired pastor in the Reformed Church in America. He served four congregations in Pekin, IL; Waterloo, IA; Leota, MN; and Stout, IA for a total of 32 years.
David has accepted Jesus' call to be part of Jesus' Healing Prayer Ministry in the Great Lakes of Iowa region: To provide encouragement and training for people in the Lakes area to be part of the Healing Ministry of Jesus which includes Spiritual Healing, Inner Healing, Physical Healing, Relational Healing, Restoration of the Created Order & Deliverance Ministry. It is the restoration of God’s original vision for His creation in the Lakes Area.
Ben Wiersma is a seminary student, working towards ordination in the Christian Reformed Church. Ben has a passion or calling to train up Christians who are willing to advance the kingdom of God through evangelism and helping other believers.
Ben's favorite discovery from Dunamis is that he does not have to do ministry by his own strength, wisdom, or power. Ben was introduced to Dunamis by a man who told God stories in an Adult Sunday School class at his church.
If you have not attended Dunamis Project 1: Gateways to Empowered Ministry, a brief summary will be offered at "Gateways Makeup." There you will have a chance to review the fundamentals of Dunamis and what it means to be empowered by the Holy Spirit.
It is optional but highly recommended. If you attend, you'll get the complete manual. Please check the box if you plan to attend.
Gateways Makeup starts at 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 3.
