Advanced Healing and Deliverance: Part 2 - Black Mountain NC

The invitation from Jesus to join him in healing ministry is exciting and sometimes intimidating. People make themselves vulnerable by inviting us into the pain, hurt and crisis in their lives.

Would you like to have opportunity to grow in this ministry?  Would you like the security of “practicing” in an environment where experienced mentors can help and advise you?  Do you want to better understand how Jesus “did it?”

“When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority … and he sent them out to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.”   Luke 9:1-2  NIV

Like any kind of prayer, healing prayer can be so simple that a 4-yr-old child can do it and see answers, and at the same time there is always more to learn.  One reason is that Jesus calls us to not just fix a person’s illness or problems, but to love them and call them on in discipleship.

The Advanced Course on Healing and Deliverance provides the opportunity to go deeper, see how your gifts can function in team ministry, and see the depth and breadth of God’s healing power. This workshop is designed for those who have been through both the Healing and Spiritual Warfare Dunamis projects and want to go deeper in healing ministry.

The teaching will focus on specific healing topics such as

  • healing from sexual abuse,
  • praying with children for healing and
  • understanding the relationship between healing prayer and psychology.

Note:

This workshop is part 2 of a year-long course that involves

  • attending three workshops in Black Mountain,
  • mentoring,
  • required reading and
  • practical experience.

Location

Community of the Cross in Black Mountain.

3227 North Fork Left Fork Road, Black Mountain, NC 28711

Dates:

  • Part 1: Passed
  • Part 2: September 7-12, 2021
  • Part 3 and Graduation: April 29 - May 2, 2022. Graduation will be the weekend in May 2022.

Participants should be working through their required reading material, writing reflection reports, working on their learning goals, and starting their kingdom projects. All reports and projects are due to their mentors by April 1.

Mentoring

Once accepted, you will be assigned a mentor. These are men and women from the Dunamis Fellowship who have gifts in healing and deliverance ministry. The mentors will review your work and give feedback each month.  Face-to-face meetings with your mentor typically happen at the workshop times in North Carolina.

Required Reading:

As part of the course, you will be required to read 8 to 10 books and write brief reflection reports on each book. These books are from a variety of perspectives on healing and deliverance ministry and will be consistent with the PRMI approach to prayer ministry.  Most are required texts, but at least one will be negotiated with the mentor based on your interests and needs.

Kingdom Project

If accepted, you will develop a project involving healing ministry in your local context.   Some examples may be building a healing prayer team for the local congregation or leading ministry at a Dunamis Project event. The project must be approved by your mentor.

You learn to cooperate with the Holy Spirit in Jesus’ ministry of healing and deliverance through practical experience.   You are encouraged to be involved in healing and deliverance prayer ministry in your local church context.   You are also welcomed to be on ministry teams at PRMI events such as the Dunamis Project.  This will need to be arranged with the local Dunamis track coordinators.

Application

Application process and deadline has passed.

Auditing the class is a possibility for Part 2.

You would be able to hear the lectures, but would not have the opportunity to participate in the small groups or have a mentor. Please contact Track Director for further information and confirmation.

Costs and Fees

There is no tuition or registration fee for this course.

Participants will make a total of 3 trips to Black Mountain for conferences and graduation.  This is trip two.

You are responsible for the costs of

  • books
  • room and board (see below),
  • travel expenses to attend all of the workshops and the commissioning event.

You will need to make your own transportation arrangements to North Carolina.

Offering

This course is offered on a faith basis, as all courses offered by PRMI.  However, there is a high cost to offering this course which covers the expense of development, the cost of materials and the participation of the mentors and teachers.  In the US, we suggest that you raise funds to cover room and board and travel as well as $3500 to cover the cost of materials and facilitators.

You’ll be invited to share in the vision of PRMI and give an offering towards the ministry to advance our mission of equipping people to cooperate with the Holy Spirit.  Pray about how to participate long before you arrive.
