Empowered Christian Family Camp #2 2019
Since 1991 tens of thousands of individuals have had the opportunity to grow in their knowledge of the person and the work of the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ through the Dunamis Project!
As people have taken this back to their churches and communities, one question that has emerged over the years is, “How do we make the whole Dunamis Project available for families?”
We are excited to say that we will be doing exactly.
Empowered Christian Families will be a six-year series of camp-style conferences aimed at equipping families to follow Jesus Christ through the person and work of the Holy Spirit. We want to see God’s gifts for each person in a family, from toddlers through grandparents, coming alive and drawing them more and more into the life-changing reality of following Jesus.
We are doing series #2 at the Riceville Valley Community Church in Asheville, NC.
This family camp will adapt the Dunamis Project and creatively engage it to create teaching and a space to encounter the Holy Spirit for both kids and adults.
There will be teaching sessions that is directed for both kids and adults as well as nursery care for our youngest ones. Our times of worship will be aimed at bringing families together to follow and experience the joy of the Lord with one another.
We’ll also have time set apart for families to spend together or receive prayer ministry.
The atmosphere will be very “camp-like” to accommodate the multiple needs of families. We’ll eat together, play together and have times of rest. The goal is that this conference will be both spiritually nourishing and fun for the whole family.
Theme: In The Spirit's Power
How has God equipped you to be a participant in the work of His Kingdom?
Practically, what does it look like to live a life that yields to, and participates in, the work of the Holy Spirit?
In the Spirit’s Power, you will look at what Scripture teaches about how God's Spirit calls us to cooperate with him, becoming people who change the world for the glory of Jesus Christ.
You will learn how you can cooperate with the Holy Spirit, how God uniquely gifts you through his Holy Spirit, and look at how this applies to you as an individual and as part of the Church.
We cover topics like:
- Jesus and the Kingdom of God
- The Gifts of the Holy Spirit for Life in the “Between the Times”
- The Dynamic of Cooperating with the Holy Spirit
- Receiving Guidance and Cooperating with the Holy Spirit
- Discernment: Is This Really from God?
- The Functional Gifts for Building the Church
- The Manifestational Gifts for Showing Forth Jesus' Power
- The Speaking Gifts: Word of Knowledge and Word of Wisdom
- Tongues and Interpretation
- Prophecy and Discernment
- The Power Gifts: Faith, Healing and Miracles
- The Church Doing Jesus' Ministry in the Power of the Holy Spirit
For those who want a better understanding of what it means to cooperate with the Holy Spirit and move into Spirit-filled ministry, this event offers the Biblical foundation and practical instruction needed for powerful, balanced ministry.
A question that you and other Christian parents often have for their kids is: “How do I help my child to have a real faith?”
You want more than good behavior, more than simple knowledge…You want your children to have a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ. Can this happen?
Yes! Because just like adults, children are given the gift of the Holy Spirit in His fullness and power.
The Holy Spirit is just as much a “Helper” for kids as he is for adults.
One of our main goals for Empowered Christian Families is to give your family a variety of creative tools and practices to help you walk together with Jesus in a genuine relationship, learning how to listen and cooperate with the prompts of the Holy Spirit.
You’ll do this through some focused time of teaching for your kids in a fun and creative atmosphere. Also, we’ll be giving you tools throughout the week that you can take home and make as a part of your daily and weekly practices of following Jesus together.
Our hope is that your child will have a better understanding and confidence in their own ability to pray and listen to the voice of the Lord in their lives.
